Music Across Canada

Mini-Opéras Santé

Marc has been a part of the 2020 and 2021 editions of Mini-Concerts Santé and Mini-Opéras Santé, a vaste program by Ensemble Caprice carried out in collaboration with Ensemble Vocal Arts-Québec. Together with several collaborators Marc has brought these outdoor mini-performances to people during the pandemic on the island of Montreal and in the South Shore (Montérégie).

Ensemble Caprice and Ensemble Vocal Arts-Québec was awarded the Opus Prize (2020 musical event of the year) for this initiative, made possible by the generous support of: the donors of Mécénat Musica, the Canada Council for the Arts, Arrondissement Ville-Marie, the Montreal Arts Council, Ensemble Caprice and Ensemble vocal Arts-Québec.

A filming marathon across provinces

From 2015 to 2017 the classical music channel Mécénat Musica Noncerto produced more than 45 music videos featuring Marc Djokic and his collaborations across nine provinces, reaching viewers from over 100 countries.

Each video was filmed in an iconic, cultural or heritage site within Canada, and Marc with the film crew traveled across nine provinces. Sites chosen ranged from the House of Commons in the Parliament Building to within the bowels of the Confederation Bridge and from the cafes of Montreal to the museums of Saskatoon.

This multi-year project aims to promote classical music through new media in Canada and beyond.
