Artist in Residence

Marc Djokic has sought to engage in research, develop repertoire and work closely with musical communities and organizations throughout the years.

2018 – 2020

Marc Djokic is currently Artist in Residence at CAMMAC. With this residency, he will contribute to CAMMAC’s mission of encouraging people of all ages to experience the joy of making music together in a welcoming and supportive environment.
In the course of this residency, Marc Djokic will teach, perform concerts and make use of the studio spaces at CAMMAC to research new repertoire as well as to rehearse contemporary and classical repertoire for solo violin and chamber groups. He has received a Canada Council Research and Creation Grant to commission a work by composer Robert Rival, to be premiered at CAMMAC in the summer of 2020. This multi-movement work will be referencing the history of the CAMMAC Music Centre in the Laurentians, Quebec as a point of inspiration.


2010 – 2013

His former quartet, Ensemble Morpheus (Frederic Lambert, Chloe Dominguez, Paul Stewart) was Quartet in Residence at la Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur in Montreal from 2010 – 2013.


2009 – 2010

Djokic was Musician in Residence at the Cecilia Concerts in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from 2009 – 2010.
